We left the campsite and drove through St Mary’s. It was a really nice place, with a couple of murals and a nice post office. I popped into the cafe and got us some hot drinks for the morning and we drove to another lovely little town called Fingal. This one was quite old with lots of convict ruins.
We then did a loop through the state forest, taking the wiggly roads to Scamander. It was super windy and rain was forecast.
We drove up to Binalong Bay and had a look at the campsites up there. Humbug Point Nature Reserve was ok, but not great. So we drove over to Cozy Corner, managing to find a good spot there. It was still windy, but a bit more protected.
It started pouring rain at about 4pm and kept on until 8pm. There was a little respite from the rain, but then it rained all night.
