Up early, we left Bucketty before 9am! The first stop was to visit Cope Hut (1929). The Victorian high country was just full of these little huts, it was great!

The next hut we visited was Wallace Hut, from circa 1889. We drove along the alpine roads, pretty high up at 1734m.

We stopped at Mount Beauty to get supplies, fuel and lunch. I had a bacon and egg roll for lunch and it was great!
We drove on towards Bright. I had wanted to see it again (I hadn't been since I was a teenager) and have a wander around but OH MY GOD it was busy! So instead, we drove up some forest roads to the lookout over the town and the whole area – 360º views!

We camped for the night at Good Hope Flat, and it rained all night. How depressing!
