I woke up early in Venice and checked the water-level app. The Acqua Alta wasn't supposed to be too bad today, so I'd designated today as the day to go to Burano. It was the perfect day for it too, as the sun came out, the flooding ended up not being too bad and it was the best day out of all the days I was in Venice.

I left the hotel at 8am, and walked up to the Fondamente Nove A port to catch the ferry to Burano. It was a lovely morning, mostly dry underfoot, and with blue skies overhead!

It was an easy boat ride there, taking about 40 minutes. I got off at Burano and set off! I'll stop narrating and just add all my Burano photos here. There are a lot of them. It is an absolutely gorgeous place... the Notting Hill of Venice!

I've already bombarded you with enough photos so I'll split this post into two. What can I say, it was finally a nice, dry day in Venice and I went to make the most of it before the return of the Acqua Alta!
