My parents came up to London for a couple of days and my Mum wanted to visit the newly reopened Temperate House at Kew Gardens, the world's largest 19th century greenhouse. I wanted to go and see it too so I tagged along. I'd been to Kew before when I first came to London in 2015, but hadn't been since and so had never visited Temperate House, as I'm pretty sure it was being restored even back then. Kew Gardens is a lovely place to just go and wander around, particularly when the flowers are blooming. But even when they aren't, it's nice being among the tropical trees in Palm House, the cacti and carnivorous plants, the giant trees and grass gardens.
We finally made it to Temperate House and went inside. It's HUGE! Like so much bigger than I expected. I guess Palm House has tall trees in it so it looks a lot fuller, but the roof on Temperate House was so much higher. It will look good in a couple of years when all the trees and plants go mad in the humid air!
Also around this time, I went exploring London in the autumn air. It's a nice time of year in the UK, as the trees turning yellow and orange looks so pretty! I walked through Regent's Park, but I'm not really sure where else I went, was just wandering along, enjoying the sights.
