DAY 22

5th January 2021

Much of the day was spent driving down the Jameson-Licola Road. We stopped off at Mount Skene to have lunch, and again at Licola. It was another rainy, foggy day. We drove to Heyfield, where we camped for the night. It was a donation site with great toilets and showers. There were also some undercover tables. Lots of friendly people, an older man and his dog telling us his plans to go to Tassie, and a young couple from Newcastle who were doing the big lap.

DAY 23

6th January 2021

Left Heyfield and it was cloudy and cool. We drove around the Gippsland area, through Bruthen then went down to Lakes Entrance. Nothing much to report, was a pretty pointless journey. We saw a cool bridge, that was about the highlight of the day. The weather was really getting to us.

Cool old wooder rail bridge, no longer in use.

We drove back to Heyfield to stay the night there again. Both of us had enjoyed the little RV campsite they had there. It was safe and clean and had great amenities. We chatted again to the old bloke and the young people again too.
