I was heading home on the Eurostar today at about 4pm. I also decided that I would have a late morning and enjoy my very comfortable bed and room in the Timhotel Montmartre. Staying there erased the stain of my first night in Paris, as it was everything you want in a hotel - peace and quiet, polite staff, a clean room with a comfy bed, with the added bonus that I had a window that looked out the square in front.

When I eventually left the hotel, I had decided to go visit E. Dehillerin, the famous cooking shop. I really wanted to buy a nice big copper soup pot, but I just couldn't part with so much money, so I had a look around at all the beautiful cookware, then left before I was tempted. I walked towards the Louvre and had a look around, visited a few shops under the giant glass pyramid.

I didn't really have any plans for the day so just meandered around.

At 3pm, I went back to the hotel to pick up my luggage then headed to Gare du Nord to catch the train back to London. But, as always, I left a little piece of my heart in Paris. It truly is my favourite city in the whole world.
