My campsite in Rapallo was not too far from Camogli, a place I wanted to go to. However, my lovely GPS lady took me on a back road route that went through some very, very narrow roads (cue pulling in the wing mirrors and squeezing through narrow gaps between buildings while grimacing). But I made it, and popped out somewhere near Camogli and the ocean!

I'd read online that there wasn't any parking near Camogli, and did what a few people suggested and parked in a supermarket carpark, putting some coins in the meter. It was handy, because I needed supplies anyway but it meant that I had a couple of hours to spend wandering around the beautiful seaside village! And beautiful it really was!

I'd stopped off to buy a cup of cold fruit and it was almost as colourful as the buildings by the sea! At about 11:30 it was time to head back to the car so I walked back up the steep path to the main road. I couldn't resist looking back, and the view was just lovely.

I went to the supermarket and bought supplies - fresh fruit and veg that is just SO GOOD in France and Italy. Then it was time to hit the road. The next destination was a campsite in Levanto. It was about 1.5 hours away. I was heading to a site earlier than I would normally because Levanto is one of the gateways to the Cinque Terre, and I hadn't booked anywhere, so I wanted to make sure I got a spot for the next 3 days.
