Christmas was a fairly quiet affair, as we basically ate and drunk our way through the whole day. On Boxing Day, it was decided that we would go for a walk, ostensibly for some air, but also to work off some of the Christmas binge. We drove to Castle Drogo in Dartmoor and parked in the carpark there. It seemed we were not the only people with the idea to walk off the Christmas food - the carpark was fast filling up!
We set off along the path - the walk today was a 5.6km loop called the Teign Gorge walk. It basically went down to the river at the bottom, followed the river for a bit, then went back up to Castle Drogo. There were plenty of dogs on the route which was nice, as well as a friendly robin, which I almost coaxed onto my hand, but I got a bit skittish and left him on his branch.
We walked the path in about 2 hours, then went back home for Christmas leftovers for lunch.
