After visiting the Art Nouveau area of Riga, I found myself in an area with some not as pretty but still interesting buildings. Of course, I kept popping back onto the Art Nouveau streets, so the images below are a mixture of different architecture! It really was fascinating, as there was such a huge difference between the buildings in a very small area.

I made my way back to the lovely Russian church, then walked past a group of people re-enacting Christ's crucifixion in the park. There were all these men wearing religious garb, people chanting and banging drums and other things going on through a loudspeaker set up in a car nearby. Very strange. I made my way over to Powder Tower, then back to the main square in Old Town and back to my hotel. I picked up a quick dinner at a place nearby, went to a patisserie and bought the most beautiful white chocolate and mousse concoction, then had an early night! I was leaving Riga for Tallinn in the morning!
