A personal project to challenge myself to build a brand from scratch. I chose tea as it is something I am passionate about, and started by creating a logo and then expanding it to packaging, social media, emails and so on.

IDEATION – BRANDING – DESIGN

The concept behind the brand is twofold: I love a good walk (a ramble) and enjoying a cuppa afterwards, and I love rose tea (rambling roses). With that, I created Ramble.

The colours are reminiscent of roses, with the exception of blue, and each represents a type of tea in the packaging: rose for rose, green for green and so on. The blue was added to represent black teas, as black was too harsh for the other soft colours. The typeface was selected because the swashes were quite organic in shape, which is also true of the circular spots – rambles are rarely straight!

Expanding this concept out into socials and emails required more visuals and the open source, vintage botanical artworks fit my vision. I wanted the brand to look fairly modern even with the illustrations, so added in the gradients for social media posts to make them more attention-grabbing. The email was designed in Sketch and kept quite simple for ease of reading.
