I hired a car for four days with the idea to drive up North to cover off a few National Trust properties, drive through the Peak District and generally explore more of England.
The first stop was Gunby House. Sadly, the house itself was not open, though I wasn't REALLY there to see the house but to check out the gardens and meet the cats that I'd seen on their Instagram feed. That's right, I drove 3.5 hours to meet cats... and maybe the person who owns the awesome Instagram account. I managed both! Couldn't get a photo of one of the cats, but Craig, the Norwegian Forest cat came out to say hello. He was adorable!
