I drove from Vertus, past Nancy and up to Metz. It wasn't a particularly interesting drive - it was a boring road, hot, I was sparingly using the air conditioner in my van when I couldn't take it anymore, and I was very glad to pull into the caravan park in Metz. It's in a great location, just minutes from the town centre.
The next day, I went exploring! Metz is a lovely little place, with a very grand cathedral (featuring windows by Chagall), tasty food, and a very enjoyable atmosphere.
