Early in the morning, I drove from Strasbourg about 60 kilometres to Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg, a medieval chateau in the Alsace region that sits atop a hill.
The drive there, once you got off the main road, was so nice- weaving and wending my way up the hill, past hardened cyclists and popping out at the top above the tree line.
The chateau itself was a little more medieval than I usually like, but it was still pretty and interesting. But oh, the view was the showstopper!
