A beautiful manor house in the South of England near Dorking. It was given to the National Trust in the 1940's by Mrs Greville, who was a very rich widow with no children. When she died, she even gave her jewellery to the Queen Mother (then Queen) including a necklace reportedly belonging to Marie Antoinette!
Mrs Greville herself, though apparently the artist used a bit of creative licence on this one...
The golden room. Everything was gold and sparkly!
Lovely prints in the bathroom
Marble everywhere in this formal bathroom!
