One gloomy day, I caught an early train out to Windsor to go and visit Windsor Castle. By getting there early, I didn't have to wait too long in line - a good thing because we all had to go through security and it took a while!
You weren't allowed to take any photos inside the castle, but I can tell you it was really cool - they had a weapons room with swords, guns and armour set out in shapes and patterns. Inside the castle, you can also see Queen Victoria's doll house, which is quite spectacular!
After visiting the castle, I then went for a walk through Windsor to Eton and through the old school there. Definitely a nice and interesting getaway from the touristy castle!
