hi!

my name is alison richards and i am a part-time illustrator living in sydney, australia.

i graduated from macquarie university in 2005 with an honours degree in psychology, but since decided that being a psychologist isn't exactly for me. so, i am now pursuing my goal of being a designer and illustrator by undertaking a diploma of graphic design this year.

i work in a variety of media, both traditional and digital, but i love the effect of ink on paper most of all.

my choice of media for an illustration is informed by the emotion i am trying to convey. i am also influenced by fashion and music.
