After another nice breakfast, the hotel staff gave me a lift back to the ferry port so I could catch my onward ferry to Mykonos. I'd somewhat become accustomed to the chaos of the ferry ports - ferries, people everywhere, no information, no one to really ask for help, no queues (the Greeks don't really queue), just a crazy free-for-all-hope-you-get-on-the-right-one situation. I got on the correct ferry, then an hour later I was in Mykonos!

The Mykonos port was a very long way from my hotel, as I found out when I was dragging my luggage through the crowded, narrow streets. I could have caught a bus but didn't have any cash on me so I didn't think that was a good idea. I made it most of the way to the hotel, then saw the massive hill that I had to walk up - the hotel was about 200m up a hill that must have had a gradient of about 30% (just guessing, it was steep!).

I finally made it to my hotel and they showed me to my room, where I burst out laughing because it was so fancy! And the view!!! I'd had limited choice of hotels for Mykonos - I wanted to stay near the old town, and didn't want to pay too much, but it seemed that hotels were really expensive. I was to find out later that this was a very different kind of Greek island to the ones I'd just been on.

I washed up (the walk up the hill was a tough slog), then went out to take a look at my new island location.

First stop was definitely lunch, I was starving. I sat down at a restaurant that admittedly looked pretty touristy and ordered a salad. That's one thing about Mykonos compared to the other islands - while I was there, I didn't find anywhere that had decently priced food, unlike every other place I had been. But hey, you have to eat. I washed it down with a glass of wine which helped a little, then went back to exploring.

After being blown around for hours (the non-stop wind made it quite uncomfortable), I went back to the hotel to change for dinner. I'd looked up a place to go for dinner called Funky Kitchen, but I wouldn't recommend it, the food was weird. Better off picking up a souvlaki, which I did the next night!
