We've covered off a lot of the National Trust places in and around Devon and Cornwall so it's getting harder to find somewhere new to go! One place we hadn't been to yet was Arlington Court, near Barnstaple. The house was lovely - the red silk room was a definite favourite and they were currently trying to work out how to restore it. There was a huge collection of model ships in the house, and the National Trust's collection of old carriages out in a barn in the gardens.

We then went for a drive and stopped at this little seaside place called Combe Martin.
