I've already told you how much I love old houses.... but you'll see from my blog that I like to visit LOTS of them. They just remind me of a different time, when craftsmen made things pretty because they could. Or things were made to last the test of time. Or things were more genuine - there was none of this fake leather or fake wood, it was the real deal. 

Anyway, enough on that... Killerton was absolutely a National Trust highlight. It was filled with the loveliest little knick knacks, some amazing books and portraits.... and it had delicious, rose-scented gardens (see in part 2).
